Surveys for Wind Farms and Energy Infrastructure

To date, Redwing has provided the ornithological survey resources and expertise for several hundred onshore wind farms and other energy infrastructure projects such as overhead lines, grid connections and hydro schemes. These projects have covered a wide geographical area with sites across mainland Scotland and islands including Skye, the Western Isles and the Northern Isles.

We have been commissioned to conduct these surveys by multiple environmental consultancies including WSP, RPS, MacArthur Green, Natural Power, Ramboll, ITP Energised, BSG and SLR. These surveys involve sites from planning stage all the way through to post-construction monitoring.

In 2024 we worked on forty four different projects.
